Epic Games has done it again. The Gear of War 2 for Xbox 360 was announced in February 2008, at the Game Developers Conference. Set for release in November 2008, Gears of War 2 will be published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game is a tactical third-person shooter video game with both single and multiplayer modes. As the sequel to acclaimed best-seller Gears of War, the new version is heavily upgraded and includes lots of additional features. The new game won several awards at the E3 2008 presentation, including IGN’s Overall Best Shooting Game and Overall Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008.

The Gears of War 2 game picks up where the first version left off, just six months after the gruesome battle with the Locust Horde. The new game version has higher stakes and more risks, creating a very intense gaming environment. With a “Mature” rating, Gears of War 2 is categorized as a violent game with some strong language.
